It starts with two children, Polly and Digory, finding themselves in worlds beyond ours, with magic.
Finally they find themselves, along with Digory's uncle, a cabby and his horse, and a wicked queen, in a dark world. They stay to witness the beginning of Narnia.
They also see, Aslan, ruler of Narnia, make animals talk.
Digory and Polly are sent on a mission to find a special apple for Aslan. They succeed and bring the apple to Aslan.
He thanks them and plants a tree with the apple and gives one to Digory for his sick mother. Soon they get back to their world and live to tell the tales until another finds the hidden world.
